Reading this beautiful letter Patty wrote to her beloved son, I can understand why Mike Murray is so very special to everyone who is lucky enough to say they know him. He touched many lives and will continue to touch lives through their wonderful memories. Mike has a wonderful family that honor him every day. Patty, you are a very special lady to reach out to give comfort--you inspire me to reach out more and to try to be as caring as you. Happy Birthday Michael.

Thanks Norma. I am going to share this with Patty, she really needs to hear your very caring words. She continues to amaze us daily with her strength, the kindness of others that has been shown to her and Michael continues to carry them thru.

Happy Birthday

I would like to share a note Patty wrote to her dear son on his myspace page. His many, many friends still log on to his site leaving notes of comfort. This was an open letter to him and for all the kids who need to find peace on this special day. Birthdays are extremly important to our family, so this will be a celebration of the gift he was to each of us. We will be celebrating tonight, cake and all(at his friends request), and remembering a boy we all love & miss dearly.

Happy Birthday Mikey
I have been thinking a lot about what would be appropriate in celebrating Mikes Birthday. I never will forget the day God has blessed me and the world with such a wonderful gift.

Although Mike can not be here with us physically to celebrate his birthday I know he is with us spiritually. Michael will always watch over us and be there for us anytime we look for him. Mike loved his family, friends, and people in general. He valued every relationship and loved all who were a part of his life.

Mike would never want us to feel alone or lost missing him. On his birthday I want us all to honor his values and stay together. Reach out to those who are close to you. Value the people and family in your life today. Lean on each other, trust each other, and celebrate what he has meant to each of us.

We all have fond memories of Michael. Cherish your memories, honor your loss, but do not feel sorrowful. Instead think of that fun memory and feel the joy he has given so many of us in the time we were blessed with him in our lives.

Happy Birthday Michael, I miss you terribly but I know you are in a wonderful place and we will see each other again. Love Mom
